Girls teams

We proudly have a growing and exciting group of girls teams within the football club currently covering ages from year 3 to year 8 – and we would like to invite new players to all age groups.

All players are welcome to join – no previous experience is necessary. From experienced players through to those looking for their first experience of football – everyone is welcome.

We are a friendly and welcoming club run by parent volunteers coaching and supporting the girls with fun weekly training and matches (new parent helpers are always welcome too!!).

Training for the girls teams is on a Monday night, more details can be found at Training & matches.

If you’re interested please complete the form below and we’ll get back to you.

(We know the “under x” terminology can be a bit confusing. All it means is that the children in an age group will turn that age during the school year e.g. under 10s will all become ten years old in the same September to September school year and would all usually be in year 5. I.e. By the end of the summer all children in “under 10s” will actually be 10).

Why we ask where you live

As a local football team Long Ashton Junior FC is run to provide an opportunity to play organised football to residents of Long Ashton and the surrounding area. Like all volunteer run community groups we have to sometimes limit the number of players we can have registered for the club in order to maintain safeguarding adult to child ratios as well as provide effective coaching.

This means that some of our teams will be limited to taking players from Long Ashton and the immediate surround area. Many of our age groups do have capacity for players further afield but unfortunately this cannot always be the case.
